Bull Creek, Stone Bridge Waterfall, Austin, Texas
Beautiful, secluded waterfall on Bull Creek in Austin, Texas
$9 .95
Bull Creek meanders through the western part of Travis County in Austin, Texas. The Bull Creek watershed, having been dubbed “the Galapagos of Texas”, due to its numerous species that are unique to the area and it’s habitat, it is one of the more tropical style parks in Texas. There are numerous parks that call Bull Creek their center piece, from St. Edwards Park in the northwestern portion of Austin on through the Bull Creek District Park near Lakewood. There are also numerous waterfalls, all primarily small in comparison to some of the waterfalls of the west. But, given that we’re not in a drought at the time, you can usually enjoy a very lush green tranquil setting, with heron’s, fish, small natural pools suitable for swimming and birds galore.
This particular video shows the limestone bridge that bisects the creek. This limestone slab collapsed across the creek after years of erosion. The video was shot at a slower frame rate to create a silky look of the water as it cascades over the limestone bridge.
