Maui is the second largest of the Hawaii Islands.  As with the other islands the most moisture occurs on the east side of the island and the road to Hana, despite being somewhat treacherous, The Hana road is absolutely gorgeous and has now surpassed the drive north of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii as my favorite drive in the tropics.
