Umauma Falls is a tripled tier fall on the Umauma River located inside the World Botanical Gardens, www.wbgi.com, approximately 15 miles north of Hilo, Hawaii on the Big Island of Hawaii. Although there is an entry fee to get in, this fee allows you access to the drive through garden, obviously Umauma Falls, the panoramic view of the Gardens and the ocean as well as a tranquil walk through their rain forest garden.

After spending the first half of the day at a private botanical garden we headed north to get pictures of a roadside waterfall when we discovered the signs to Umauma Falls. When we were there we virtually had the gardens all to ourselves. The garden sits on over three hundred acres filled with Ginger, Heliconias, numerous different Palm trees, Eucalyptus (rainbow variety) trees and Wild Orchids. The views are gorgeous and watching the waterfall was simply mesmerizing. Umauma Falls drops approximately 300 feet as the water cascades over its three separate tiers.

The Umauma Falls video shows two different views of the three falls together and slowly fades into close up views of each of the three tiers. Sit back and relax as you enjoy the rushing water and envision that you are actually in Hawaii enjoying Umauma Falls yourself.
